These updates were made available on Thursday, October 17th, 2024. This was a minor update that addressed some stability, performance, and usability issues. No action will need to be taken by the user to receive these updates. Additionally, the following items were released:

New status for scheduling app	When an session is confirmed by the proctor, but not started we will have a new started “Expired-Not Started”. These exams sessions were previously being marked as completed.
Japanese Localization support	Japanese strings updated.
“Loading Please Waiting”, but VM isn’t loaded	Fixed.
Test Candidates may show up twice on Proctor dashboard	Fixed an issue that may cause Test Candidates to appear twice.
24-hour time picker not displaying properly	While creating a session , if a user selects the 24- hour time format , they are not able to select the time after 12:55 pm from the drop down time picker.
Greek Display issue on the login screen	Fixed.
Time picker does not allow editing the hour	Fixed.
Close Window link is no working if disconnected from the network	Fixed issue where if you are disconnected from your network you are unable to close the secure browser window with out a hard reboot.

Updated Generative AI Certificate	The Generative AI certificate has been updated.
Updated Professional Communication Certificate	The CCS Professional Communication certificate has been updated.
Updated Health Science Logo & Certificates	The logo for the Health Sciences Careers program has been updated and reflected across Portal.

Updated minor UI issues	This is a collection of minor UI updates and improvements to improve the overall experience for the end-user.
Added “Restart VM” reason	To improve the stability of exams using a Virtual Machine (VM) during the exam, a restart reason will be required when restarting the VM. This data will help us understand why a restart is occurring and help us troubleshoot and address the problem.
Updated strings for additional language support	Improved localizations for Greek, Japanese, and Arabic.
User Assigned vouchers to show number of associated Test Candidates	If using the payment method “User Assigned Vouchers” we will show how many Test Candidates have joined the session in the session details area.
Proctor (Exam Administrator) UI to show VM Restarting as a status	Rebooting a computer can take a few minutes, so to improve the experience when restarting the VM we have a new status indicating to the proctor that it is now restarting, and it will update when it is ready for the Test Candidate to resume the exam again.
Session confirmation page after a refresh is missing the email ID	Issue fixed.
Close Window link is no working if disconnected from the network	Fixed issue where if you are disconnected from your network you are unable to close the secure browser window without a hard reboot.

2024 Adobe Certified Professional Championship	The 2024 versions of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign have been included in the list of Championship applications.
Renamed Program: Critical Career Skills	The Communication Skills for Business program has been renamed to Critical Career Skills.
New Exam: Professional Communication	Professional Communication has been setup under the Critical Career Skills program. This includes new certificates, emails, badges, and availability to schedule with OnVUE.
New Program – Health Science Careers	Health Science Careers has been setup as a new Program. This includes new certificates, emails, badges, and availability to schedule with OnVUE.
New Program – Hospitality and Culinary Arts Careers	Hospitality and Culinary Arts Careers has been setup as a new Program. This includes new certificates, emails, badges, and availability to schedule with OnVUE.
New Program – Agriscience and Technology Careers	Agriscience and Technology Careers has been setup as a new Program. This includes new certificates, emails, and badges.
EFH Disabled for all new CATCs	The Exams from Home platform will no longer be available by default for new Certiport Authorized Test Centers. Requests for access should be made through Territory Managers, Partners, or Support.
Adobe Championship Versions	The 2024 versions of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign will now prompt for competition registration.

Update UI front-end to Angular 17	This upgrade provides additional security fixes and keeps Compass Cloud updated with the latest technology.
Added a quick refence link for payment types	When creating a session, a common question is what payment method to choose. This “Payment method definitions” link provides additional detail to help the session creator choose the most appropriate option.
Test Candidate link on login page	If in Japan, the Test Candidate link will redirect to the appropriate page for the Candidate in Japan.
Arabic will be supported	Arabic exams and localizations will be supported.
Greek will be supported	Greek exams and localizations will be supported.
Unlock all banner not displayed consistently	Fixed issue where the banner was not displayed for all exams in group proctoring page.
Blank screen may appear if you refresh the page	Fixed issue causing a blank screen to appear on New Session page.
Mobile – edit button appearing when launching	The edit button should not be available after the session starts. Fixed so that it does not show.
White screen appears on Dashboard	Fixed so that this doesn’t occur.
Update error messages on Account Recovery	Fixed issue with messages that may be confusing on the account recovery flow.

New Fulfillment Centers	Four new fulfillment centers have been set up.
IC3 GS5 Certificate Update	The certificates for IC3 GS5 certifications have been updated.
IC3 GS6 Certificate Update	The certificates for IC3 GS6 certifications have been updated.
Localized Pages via Emails	When a user received an email from Certiport that links directly to Portal there was a chance that an English page would be displayed – this will now display the appropriate language by default.
CHS Localization Updates	Some corrections have been made to our Chinese Simplified localizations for the new Registration flow on Portal.
Improved Country Selection	Users can now type and filter the Country field on the new Portal Registration flow.
Address is no longer mandatory	When editing a Certiport profile, users are no longer required to enter a physical address.
Address required for OnVUE	Test Candidates who are booking an OnVUE exam session must update their Profile to ensure that an address is provided.
Account Recovery Flow Update	Users who cannot reset their password but who are able to validate their identity can now continue to use the account recover flow to access exams for an eight-hour period.
Voucher Encryption Enhanced	We have upgraded the encryption process around our voucher codes to enhance security.
New Portal Profile Support	Work was done to support our new Portal Profile experience that will be released soon.
Incorrect Regional Currency Symbols	In certain circumstances the dollar symbol was changing to a local user currency for a limited number of products available for purchase in Portal. This has now been resolved and all products will continue to show in USD using the $ symbol.
Incorrect UI surrounding Vouchers	In a small number of cases, it was possible that Portal would not load the correct styles after viewing voucher details. This has been corrected.
CATCs with bulk vouchers	We have made some enhancements to the way we manage database connections for CATCs that have extremely large quantities of vouchers.
Angular Update	We have updated New Portal to use Angular 17. There are no visual changes because of this upgrade, but users may see a slight performance improvement.
Exam Preview Configuration	Multiple exams can now be connected to a single exam preview. This will mostly be used by our programs that are not live in the application.
Incorrect Cisco Registration Error	In some situations, users were shown an error on the Cisco Program Registration page as soon as the page loads. This has now been removed and this error will only be shown if applicable.
RTL & LTR Display	A bug causing Portal to remain in RTL mode when switching to an LTR language has been resolved.

Add banner on user assigned voucher	Added banner that indicates that the Test Candidate has the responsibility to join the exam session. If the Test Candidate does not join an hour before they will not be able to take an exam in that session.
New Account Recovery flow	Modernized the account recovery flow to make it more secure.
Dashboard next session area not updating	Fixed an issue that may prevent the next session area from updating as it should.
An Error Occurred on server when using restart VM	The exam appears to be unresponsive within the VM after the proctor tries to restart the VM.
Added/Updated Japanese localizations	Added support for the Japanese (JPN) language.
Start session button not active	On the proctor dashboard, in certain circumstances the “start Session” button was inactive when it should be active.
Invalid 12-hour time	When manually entering the time, it is possible to place an invalid time which would not display an error point to the issue. Fixed so that an error will appear if invalid.
Restarting a VM leaves a Test Candidate hung	If a VM is rebooted the Test Candidate should receive a message indicating what they need to do to reconnect and resume them exam. Fixed so that they receive these instructions.
Need Help button	The need help button is not intended for support if in Japan. Removed side it does not appear in Japan.
NDA was not displaying the localized version appropriately	Fixed to show localized version.

English for IT Transcript Change	Due to the nature of the English for IT exam, results will now show a Pass / Fail / Incomplete instead of a number / score.
Exam Group Reports Updated	Exam Group reports have been refined to remove extraneous information to declutter the customer experience.
CHT on Exam Group Reports	Chinese Traditional Characters are now correctly being rendered on Exam Group report PDF documents.
RTL Display in Account Recovery	The Account Recovery flow was displaying RTL languages in an LTR view. This has been resolved.
Language Consistency	The selected language in Compass will now be carried to Portal when starting the Password Recovery flow from the Score Report page.
CHS Localization Refinement	We have updated some translations for the Chinese Simplified text displayed on Portal.
Bulk Voucher Load Times	CATCs who have thousands of vouchers assigned will no longer have timeout issues when viewing Portal pages that display voucher information.
Student ID Error	An issue preventing users from removing Student IDs from their Certiport profile has been resolved.
Japanese Localization	A missing localization has been added to the ‘Assign a voucher to me’ button on the Test Candidate page.
Certificate Orders with Long Names	Test Candidates with very long names can now successfully order an official certificate.
Acrobat Pro on OnVUE	The Adobe Acrobat Pro exam will now be available via the OnVUE platform.

**Portal Release Details**

Cisco Program Registration	A new Cisco Program registration is now available to candidates. It includes an updated flow that will connect your Certiport account with your Cisco account. Candidates will need a unique email address and will need to provide their name using single-byte Latin letters.
New Portal - User Registration	Our updated registration process has been designed to take a few seconds to complete and requires minimal information before creating a Certiport account.
New Portal – Under 13 Parental Approval	Users who are under the age of 13 will now need parental approval before creating a Certiport account.
New Portal – Account Recovery	Users will now need to access their email to complete the account recovery process.
New Portal – Clever SSO	Schools will now be able to connect their Clever account to Certiport and allow their students to complete a single sign on experience with their existing Clever username and password.
Locked Accounts	In a small number of edge cases, it is possible for a Certiport account to become locked. In order for accounts to be unlocked, candidates will need to access their email and complete a password reset.
Adobe Certificates	New Certificates are available for the upcoming Express and Acrobat exams.
Cisco Certificate	A new certificate is available for the upcoming Cisco IT Support exam.
Legacy Portal Modifications	Some fields have been disabled or removed on the Legacy Portal Profile page to align with the update requirements for the New Portal Registration flow.
Microsoft 365 Pathway Certificates	Administrators can now view and print the Microsoft Office Specialist Associate and Microsoft Office Specialist Expert ‘Pathway’ certificates from within Portal.

These updates to the Compass UI/UX (CPWeb) were made available on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. They will not require any action by the end user to receive them.

**Compass UI Release Details**

Early Access Support	We are preparing for an Early Access version of Compass that will allow us to run a live Beta with our customers. This will not yet be available to customers, but you might start to notice a few new settings and options on various screens.
Account Recovery	A new account recovery has been designed for Compass that has special considerations for users who may be in a restricted exam environment and cannot access their email. This process will lock a Certiport account. Users can unlock their account by changing their password on Portal.
Enhanced Accessibility – Exam Groups & Vouchers	Changes were made to ensure that toggles clearly indicate their state change immediately when using a screen reader.
Enhanced Accessibility – Score Report	Changes were made to ensure that all buttons on the Score Report page that is shown at the end of an exam are communicated accurately.
Got Error from Server on System Check Page	In some cases, users were seeing a “Got error from server” error when Compass was not able to detect and display the correct Microsoft Office version. This has now been fixed.
Compass Version Retirement	The following versions of Compass have reached their end of life and are no longer supported: 19.0.2.907 19.0.2.1095 19.0.2.1158

These updates were made available on Monday, June 24th, 2024. This was a minor maintenance release that addressed some stability and performance issues. No action will need to be taken by the user to receive these updates. Additionally, the following items were released:

Allow resume of exam	If there are multiple exams in a resume state, we now allow the user to select the exam they wish to resume instead of auto-selecting the first exam in the list.
Added KOR After Effects exam	Exam added.
MOS 365 KOR support	MOS 365 Exams in Korean were made available
Updated the Autodesk images	Due to performance issues while taking an Autodesk exam, the VM’s used for those exams have been updated to a more powerful VM which should increase the performance and reduce errors while taking the exam.

Mobile: Close button may be out of the banner	On some mobile devices, the outage message that appears may be difficult to close as it is pushed out of the message banner.
Added a note on the exam details page	To reduce confusion, the following note was added to the exam details page: “Note: User assigned vouchers do not require you to enter the number of candidates. A maximum of 50 candidates per exam session.“
Candidate ready for exam may be inaccurate	It may say 0/1 candidates are ready although 1/1 are available.
Login page briefly appears when coming from Portal	The login screen briefly appears when coming from Certiport.com and already authenticated. This was a cosmetic issue and didn’t prevent the user from logging in.
User can attempt to start a second exam and get stuck	We are now preventing the candidate from attempting to start a second exam. Instead they will get a message that says “Your exam is complete. You may not start or reenter your exam with this access code.”
Mobile: SLA notification takes up the entire page	Redesigned the message to be more mobile friendly.
Start session link in banner doesn’t work	When clicking the “Start session” link in the banner from the Dashboard, it doesn’t start the session.
Candidates unable to resume exam session after 30 minutes	If the candidate had an issue during the exam and it was 30 minutes after the exam started, they may not be able to resume the exam and would display an error message on the Access Code validation page.

Dashboard area doesn’t always update	After confirming a session, the next session area is not updated to reflect the status change appropriately.
Session table not sorting as expected	Changed session table to sort alphabetically.
Create an account button overlaps the footer	Fixed.
Login page footer has an extra space	Fixed.

Compass UI/UX Update Information:

These updates to the Compass UI/UX (CPWeb) were made available on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. They will not require any action by the end user to receive them.

**Compass UI Release Details**

Config Exams & Exam Previews	Compass is now setup and ready to handle Config Exams and Exam Previews. These will be published over time by our Content teams. Config Exams will allow Organization Administrators to validate their Compass setup without using Proctors. Exam Previews will allow candidates to experience the Exam Flow without needing product, payment, or a Proctor.
Early Access Opt-In	A new setting has been added to Compass in preparation for an upcoming Feature – Early Access. This will allow us to run Beta testing on new Compass features. (The button is present but currently non-operational.)

Attempted to many exam restarts (5 allowed) No inventory or site licenses available Program is not active for CATC Teacher is not designated Exam Group Retake Policy violations: too many attempts, only passed exams can be retaken, second attempt before the time allotted for that exam.
Add additional logging	To improve the overall performance and stability of the system, we are continually adding additional logging that will help identify issues that are difficult to recreate.

CATC w/ no Payment option	CATC’s were required to have a payment option available to schedule an exam session. This feature allows a CATC to select the “User assigned voucher” payment method which doesn’t require the center to have any other form of payment. Candidates will need to associate their voucher to this session by logging into Certiport.com and locating the user assigned voucher and then connecting it to the exam session by using the Access code provided by the exam session creator or proctor.
Mobile support improvements	Continue to make it easier to use a mobile device to schedule, manage and group proctor sessions.
Display appropriate message when site license isn’t accepted	Displayed appropriate message.
Update email content	We’ve noticed that some customers are overbooking their sessions and have updated the email to indicate that they should only book for as many candidates that they expect to be in that session. Please edit the session and remove additional seats before the session starts. This will help keep costs low so we can continue to provide this solution without additional fees.
Display date in localized language	To make it easier for our global customers, we have localized the date when scheduling an exam session, as well as adding it to the email localized.
Display appropriate message when payment isn’t available	If there isn’t sufficient payment display an intuitive message to the user.
Time field is enabled, but should be locked	Fixed.
CHT Autodesk 2022 maintenance	Fixed.
Updated Compass Cloud icon & name in program uninstall area	Fixed.
While editing a session you may get a system error message	Fixed.
Display Autodesk version correctly in the UI	Fixed.
"Need help" button is blank	Fixed.
Candidate role used in Japan is not recognized	Fixed.
Access code field is not working properly if entered correctly	Fixed.

Updated Emails with localized strings	Updated new strings in the exam session notification update and confirm emails that are sent out to the session creator.
Preferred language	When scheduling an exam session, the language will be set to the user preferred language setting in Portal.
Updated emails	Added the following verbiage to the notifications emails sent: “Exams in Session: Number of candidates must be accurate.” It is very important to select the correct number of candidates per session. Charges may apply if sessions are left unattended.
Display all supported versions of Autodesk	Autodesk exams were all launching using the 2022 Autodesk software. Now you can select the exams specific to the version of software you would like to launch.
Updated exam details page	Added the following note: “Payment per seat will be locked upon session submission.”
Add Test Center ID to scheduling	The Test Center ID has been added to the scheduling tool, to make it easier to identify the correct center.
Review page may display the wrong time	It’s possible that the review page displays the wrong time. This issue has been fixed.
Time zone field may not clear properly	If you change the test center, the time zone field was not clearing properly. This issue has been fixed.

Secure Browser Update	A new secure browser has been released and must be updated before an exam is launched. This will happen automatically in the background when Compass is launched.
Update Time Fixed	The time listed as ‘Next Update’ on the Compass Admin home screen has been fixed to show the correct time in all instances.
Config Exam Updates	In some cases, our Microsoft Office Specialist configuration exams were not being updated prior to a user launching them. This has now been corrected and the latest version of the configuration exam will now be launched.
New Compass Logo	A new Compass logo has been released. This will replace the icon in all locations – Desktop Icon, Application Icon, Loading icon.

Compass for Mac:

There are no updates for Compass for Mac at this time.

Adobe Specialty Credential Update	The expiration date for Adobe Specialty credentials have been updated to more accurately reflect the period in which they were achieved.
IT Specialist Congratulations Email	We have updated the email that candidates receive when they complete an IT Specialist Exam.
User License Assignment Error	An extreme edge case that triggered an error when assigning a User License has been resolved and will no longer occur.
Delayed Badges	Badge delivery was interrupted between 21 January and 7 February, 2024. If you have not received a badge that you were expecting, please contact Customer Support.

Improved error message handling in the Candidate app	Added additional error message handling to improve the usability of the candidate app.
Accommodations column not showing correctly for the candidate	Fixed
Exam Group displaying invalid error message	Fixed so that if you enter an invalid exam group that an accurate message appears.
Update Proctoring screen show appropriate accommodation	Double Time should be displayed as "Double-Time." +30 min should displayed as "Additional 30 Minutes" If None should Display "None"
Update the Fav icon in the browser tab	Compass Cloud logo/icon has changed to a new version.
Exam group not displaying message in edit session mode	Fixed
Cookie preference link missing	In the Scheduler UI the cookies preferences was missing.
Added Alert Banner on Session Summary	The Alert banner will include information about payment and that the candidate seats can be changed prior to the start of the session. Once the session is locked, unused payment for that session will be returned within 4 hours. Please be as accurate as possible when choosing seat counts.
Delay when click Start session	Fixed
Session Schedule to sort descending	Fixed

Unity VR Developer Change	The Unity VR Developer Specialization has been removed in preparation for a new standalone VR Developer exam.
Portal → Compass Cloud Payment Types	Portal has updated the payment types that are displayed in Compass Cloud to distinguish between Inventory and Site Licenses.
Portal → Compass Cloud Site Licenses	Portal now provides detailed error information on expired Site Licenses for Compass Cloud to display.
Portal → Compass Cloud Site License Warning	Portal now provides detailed error information on expiring Site Licenses for Compass Cloud to display.
Intuit Personal Finance Certificate	The Intuit Personal Finance Certificate has been connected to the appropriate artwork and will be issued when a candidate passes their certification exam.
Unable to Unassign a License	A defect that was causing a site-license to inaccurately reflect usage, due to Compass Cloud reservations, has been resolved
