Here at Certiport the security and integrity of our testing processes are of utmost importance. To uphold these high-security standards, testing centers, and their associated user accounts, including Certification Exam Proctors are continuously monitored to meet security protocol.

All user accounts should be tied to and controlled by a single individual. This is especially important for accounts that include the responsibility to proctor Certification Exams. Accordingly, any user accounts associated with a Certiport Authorized Testing Center (CATC) with the Proctor Role that are identified as generic proctor accounts (being used by more than one individual) will be deactivated effective August 31, 2024. Each person proctoring a Certiport Certification Exam needs their own unique user account that designates they have personally reviewed and accepted the Proctor Agreement.

What This Means for You:

Action Required: Please review the associations currently assigned to your CATC as a Proctor and ensure that each one is registered as a specific individual that has personally accepted the Proctor Agreement. If you are the Organization Administrator for multiple CATCs, this step will need to be completed for each CATC you manage. Deadline: Ensure all Proctor accounts are compliant by August 31, 2024. Certiport strives to provide effective, easy-to-use services and technologies in all aspects of our business. To help support this effort, Certiport is currently migrating certain business services to cloud-based servers supported by Microsoft Azure technology.

One service that is affected by this migration is the Certiport Authorized Testing Center (CATC) Locator. The CATC Locator has been an important tool for Certiport customers for many years, however recent advancements in technology have increased the availability of online and remote exam delivery solutions, alternatives to physical CATCs. As a result, Certiport has made the difficult decision to retire the CATC Locator effective January 21, 2024.

Certiport recognizes that some customers rely on the CATC Locator to address certain business needs and that this decision may result in some inconvenience. For this we sincerely apologize. Moving forward, testing center locator inquiries should utilize the following link: Support for Test Candidates.

Certiport Planned Data Center Transition – Production Environment

In May of 2023 we announced the upcoming changes to our underlying technology with support from ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ and ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ VUE. A key priority for Certiport is to migrate our systems to a new data center environment. We are excited about this transition which will improve reliability, scalability, and high availability of our business systems. We want to share information about actions you may need to take to support the move of our Production environment.
 
The transition will begin on January 21, 2024 at 8:00 am Mountain Standard Time, with validations to be completed on the same day by 8:00 pm Mountain Standard Time. We will send notification when the new data center environment is live and normal operations can resume.
 
During this time, the following Certiport systems will be unavailable during the cutover:
 
  • Compass for Windows
  • Compass for Mac
  • Portal (the logged in area of our website)
  • Compass Cloud
  • Exams From Home (EFH)
  • Certiport access to OnVUE
 
As part of this transition, Certiport will no longer be able to provide a range of static IP addresses for communication purposes.
 
Action
 
For outbound traffic to Certiport, you will need to allow traffic to the entire following domains (*.certiport.com, *.pearson.com, *.pearsonvue.com, *.starttest.com, *.starttest2.com, *.startpractice.com, *.programworkshop.com, *.gettesting.com).

Please note: If you are using an API that Certiport has provided, we don’t expect changes but please verify all is working post cutover.
