Meet the champions

GoodThing Productions followed students from countries around the world, giving you a full picture of what it’s like to prepare for and compete in the MOS World Championship. You’ll meet:

  • Braydon, 16: A laid-back Aussie whose natural talent might just be enough to counter his last-minute approach to preparation.
  • Carmina, 16: A bubbly 16-year-old from Guatemala who finds comfort in math.
  • De La Paix, 19: A determined university student in Cameroon hoping to make his family proud.
  • Mason, 15: A quirky and endearing American teen whose love for spreadsheets is matched only by his fascination with ham radio.
  • Nam, 21: A meticulous and hard-working competitor from Vietnam whose national pride rests on his shoulders.

These competitors are like many students around the world, looking for an opportunity to use their certifications to land the educational opportunities and jobs they’ve worked so hard for. Ultimately, the MOS World Championship gives them an opportunity to show those skills off to the world.

What is the MOS Championship?

Like the competitors in Spreadsheet Champions, your students can compete in the MOS World Championship. Hosted by Certiport and supported by Microsoft, this global competition tests students’ skills on Microsoft Office Excel®, as well as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint®. Top students are invited to represent their respective countries, creating an Olympic atmosphere of country pride and international camaraderie.

In some countries or regions, students are required to participate in a National Championship, and the winners of that event continue to the World Championship. All students are required to earn a MOS certification to take part.
