If you’re new to teaching the Entrepreneurship and Small Business certification, it can be overwhelming to figure out the best way to help your students pass the certification exams and empower them with the entrepreneurial skills they’ll need for future career success.
We’re here to simplify your lesson preparation. Below is the list of learning products available to help you effectively teach ESB certification.
What’s Included with My License?
All ESB licenses, excluding the Florida Universal and International Licenses, include NFTE’s Entrepreneurial Mindset Index (EMI) and Teaching ESB–A Resource Guide for the Classroom. EMI is great tool to benchmark a student’s entrepreneurial strengths and weaknesses, designed to be taken early and again later in the course. This allows students to examine the changes throughout the class and matches them to a well-known entrepreneurial archetype. Teaching ESB is a resource guide for teachers that included experiential activities and professional development modules to help ensure a teacher is fully prepared for their course.
Are There Other Options?
If you find that you’re looking for additional resources, for you or your students, several of our learning partners have just what you need.
LearnKey:
LearnKey is a video-based training course that utilizes the GMetrix platform, meaning you and your students can use the same sign-on for both the learning and the practice tests. To make things easy for you, LearnKey has a self-paced learning mode and an instructor-led mode. The LearnKey curriculum includes a workbook and roughly five hours of video lessons. The entire course covers roughly 14 hours of instruction and is available in the U.S. as well as internationally. This course is a fabulous addition to any entrepreneurship curriculum you are using! Many schools use it as a final test prep just before moving on to practice tests.
Moore Solutions Inc.:
Moore Solutions Online (MSi) Learning is another great option if you prefer online training. An entire learning management system, the Moore Solutions Online Learning comes equipped with an e-book, lesson plans, projects, quizzes, simulations, video lessons, and auto-grading. Everything you need to make your teaching easier. MSi’s curriculum is designed to fill an 8 to 10-week course. This gives you plenty of content to prepare your students for the certification while still offering flexibility for you to incorporate additional lessons as needed throughout a traditional semester. The MSi system also includes the Florida DOE frameworks, and will map to any other state framework as needed. International educators are also able to purchase MSi curriculum.
B.E. Publishing:
If you’re looking for an offline option, the B.E. Publishing’s Essentials of Entrepreneurship textbook/e-book is a great choice. Throughout the textbook students will learn to create and develop a cumulative business plan portfolio. At the end of each chapter, there are review activities and chapter assessments to test students’ knowledge and comprehension. Plus, students will see how the principles they’re learning apply in real-world scenarios through real-world entrepreneur highlights.
Additional teacher resources are available as a supplemental purchase and all resources are available for U.S. or international purchase.
ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Textbooks and E-Books:
Another offline option is ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½’s textbook/e-book, Entrepreneurship: Owning Your Future. Originally written by the founder of NFTE, the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, this book has both a teacher’s edition and workbook. This book is only available for purchase in the U.S.
